- 1902, Will Lingle opens the original Lingle Abstract Office in Union County, Illinois. Will works alongside his wife Stella Lingle.
- 1974, After the passing of her husband Will, Stella manages the Abstract Office alone. Stella approaches Bob Toler (Susan Holderfield’s Father) about buying half the abstract business. Bob accepts and it becomes known as Lingle-Toler Abstract.
- 1976, Stella Lingle decides to retire and Bob Toler buys out the remainder of the business from her. The name continues to be Lingle-Toler Abstract.
- 1986, Bob Toler buys Union County Abstract Office owned by local attorney Cord Finch and run by the then abstractor Rebecca Pelc. The business incorporates and becomes known as Union County Abstract Office, Inc. from that point forward.
- 1988, After the passing of Bob Toler, his daughter, Susan Holderfield takes over as Manager of Union County Abstract Office, Inc.
- 1999, J.R. Holderfield, Susan’s son, joins the Abstract Office.
- 2016, Robin Hawk, Susan’s Daughter, joins the Abstract Office.
